Michael D. Westphal, Qualifying Broker
Prior to obtaining his license, Mr. Westphal graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. He subsequently held several positions with Intel Corporation in process engineering and analysis labs. During his tenure with Intel, he managed many different groups of people and equipment and handled several projects simultaneously. He received several Intel Divisional Recognition Awards for his exemplary work.
Mr. Westphal now applies his extensive experience in data collection and analysis to real estate. He blends investor, real estate broker, statistics, and engineering perspectives to evaluate properties for potential investment and to evaluate market situations for the benefit of his clients.
Mr. Westphal currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sandia Motorsports Park, a role he has performed since 2003. He volunteers his time to MIT as an Educational Counsel (EC) member since 1996 and as EC Regional Coordinator since 2008 and also volunteers as the Science Fair Coordinator for Corrales Elementary School. Mr. Westphal co-authored his first book, Cell Phone Science: What Happens When You Call and Why, with Ms Sequeira.
